Bayern’s 10–0 trouncing of Auckland City in the group stage puts Jamal Musiala well in the conversation for top scoring honors. While Michael Olise joined him on three goals after scoring in the victory over Boca Juniors. Harry Kane also opened his account against the Argentinians. Before netting twice in the German side’s 4–2 win over Flamengo in the round of 16.

Inter sharpshooter Lautaro Martínez was in contention. After scoring in both of Inter’s opening two games. But a surprise exit for the Italians to Fluminense in the last 16 has eliminated him from the race. The same applies to Erling Haaland and Phil Foden, who both scored three at the tournament. Before being knocked out by Al Hilal in a shock upset.

There was some group stage success for South American sides and strikers. But Botafogo’s Igor Jesus will end with two goals after the Copa Libertadores holders were knocked out in the last 16. Flamengo’s Wallace Yan and Palmeiras’ Paulinho have also netted twice at the tournament. With the latter’s strike against Botafogo sending them into the quarterfinals.

Juventus fired five unanswered goals past Al Ain in their opening fixture, with Randal Kolo Muani and Francisco Conceição bagging doubles. Their prolific start to the Club World Cup continued on Matchday 2 against Wydad AC. Where Kenan Yıldız struck twice in a 4–1 victory. However, they‘ve also exited the competition in the last 16, with Real Madrid’s Gonzalo García scoring his third goal of the summer to down the Bianconeri.

Ángel Di María was a bright spark for Benfica and is the current leader of the Golden Boot race after scoring his fourth goal of the tournament—all of which were penalties. In his side’s round of 16 defeat to Chelsea. In the same game, Pedro Neto scored for the third time.

Al Ahly’s Wessam Abou Ali became the second player to score a hat-trick at this summer’s tournament. Doing so in a 4–4 draw with Porto on Matchday 3. However, the Egyptian giants have been eliminated so the striker won’t have another chance to add to his tally.

Marcos Leonardo was responsible for sending Man City home in the last 16. Scoring a brace that included the winning goal in a crazy 4–3 affair. The Brazilian’s tally now sits at three ahead of the quarterfinals.

Valverde scored his fifth Club World Cup goal against Pachuca in the group stages this summer. While Al-Dawsari’s hamstring injury means. He won’t have the chance to catch the all-time leader. Messi and Suárez have also exited the competition, with the latter failing to score in 2025.

Benzema and Ronaldo did not qualify for the tournament. While Bale and Delgado are both retired.
